Credit Manager

Job Title: Credit Manager Location: Birmingham, AL (On-site) Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 (DOE) We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to oversee credit risk management, customer account evaluation, and team coordination across business units. This role ensures credit decisions are well-informed, compliant with company policies, and supportive of business growth. Key Responsibilities Evaluate credit applications by reviewing financial statements and verifying customer creditworthiness. Set credit limits, approve or deny applications, and manage special credit arrangements. Monitor and audit delinquent accounts, ensuring maximum collection efforts before assigning bad debt status. Oversee annual credit file reviews and timely updates. Coordinate credit insurance coverage with the parent company and insurer. Lead and direct the daily activities of the Assistant Credit Manager. Foster communication between internal departments and subsidiaries to manage overall credit risk. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum 4 years of experience within corporate credit, managerial experience is a plus.
