Registered Veterinary Technician

We are a privately owned practice with 5 full time doctors. We are a walk-in clinic and open Monday-Friday 7-6pm and Saturdays 8-12pm. Candidate must be able to work Saturdays (not all) and work well as a team. As an 'urgent care/general practice' feel, candidates must be able to: Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing animals and equipment. Perform animal restraint using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, including sample collection and analysis, to support diagnostic efforts. Maintain accurate medical records, including treatment plans, medication logs, and laboratory results. Administer treatments such as injections, wound care, and dental procedures using aseptic techniques. Handle pet care routines, and basic animal husbandry to promote comfort and health. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and assist with radiographic procedures. Support animal catheterization, intravenous access, and other critical care procedures as needed. Manage kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring animals’ behavior and health status. Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Proven experience with animal handling Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and equipment operation. Ability to perform animal restraint safely for diagnostic or treatment purposes. Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during surgical or invasive procedures. Experience with radiography (X-ray) imaging for diagnostic purposes.
