Plant Controller

Position Summary:
This role sits at the center of finance and operations for a manufacturing business located in Southern NH. The individual in this seat will own core accounting activities while acting as a practical, hands-on partner. Success in this role comes from balancing structure and execution, while helping teams make better decisions through reliable financial insight. Job Responsibilities:
• Monitor and analyze standard costs and production variances related to labor, materials, overhead, scrap, yield, and work-in-process.
• Maintain appropriate inventory valuation practices, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Partner with field managers to improve overall efficiency.
• Support investment analysis and follow-up reviews for capital projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems, and workflows, including ERP enhancements and automation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and audit requests.
• Improve accuracy and scalability through process refinement and documentation.
• Provide daily leadership, coaching, and developing accounting staff. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years experience within a manufacturing environment
• Background supporting complex close processes.
• Experience in providing leadership and professional development.
• Direct experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel
• Effective communication skills working with different leadership styles.
