Pride Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative to support our client's healthcare facility in Penn Yan, NY.

Job Details: 
Schedule: Full-Time, Day/Evening Variable Shift + Every Other Weekend
Location: Penn Yan, NY 14456
Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  

Duties: 

• Register outpatient and inpatient patients and process admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Interview patients and accurately collect and update demographic, financial, insurance, and medical information.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine required authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Enter patient information accurately into the facility's computer system.
• Determine and collect applicable co-payments, patient payments, and deposits.
• Process cash receipts and balance the cash drawer.
• Ensure positive patient identification and follow procedures designed to prevent identity theft.
• Complete required Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires for Medicare patients.
• Enter diagnostic information accurately based on physician orders.

• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements
