About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in one location; and 2 years working as a Traveler License: Current RN License Certifications: AHA BLS (ACLS preferred) Must-Have: Ability to read telemetry strips Description: M/S Tele RN Nights with every other weekend commitment, totaling 36 hours per week. Must be able to read telemetry strips. This unit is a 32-bed Orthopedic/Neuro Med/Surg unit admitting all medical overflow. Travelers are required to float to applicable units when requested. Day shift may rotate among various shifts when needed; night positions do not rotate. Skill sets required include Med/Surg RN with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency. Clinician to patient ratio is 1:4 during day and evening shifts, which may increase to 5. Night shift ratio is 1:5 or 6. Patient population includes scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, neuro patients, and medical overflow. Charting system used is EPIC.
