Medical Center is looking for a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon to cover specific June and July dates, ongoing!

Schedule:

• Clinic Days: M-F
• Clinic Hours: 8a-5p
• On Call: Yes
• Call overage and follow up clinic. The call coverage is 24-hour call coverage and then they will do follow ups on their patients in the clinic.

• Inpatient Responsibilities: Rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, OR
• Job Responsibilities: Clinical, Surgical, Trauma/Orthopedic Call
• Trauma Level: 3
• Number of Physicians: 4
• Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 7
• Supervision of APP expected: Yes
• Physician Nurse Ratio: 1 nurse/provider, 3 cast techs/7 providers
• Ancillary Staff per Provider: 3 Reception/7 providers, 2 Surgery Schedulers/7 providers
• Number of Exam Rooms per Provider: 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms
• Medical Imaging: Yes
• Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
• Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Mainly consults, current avg hospital daily census 160 pts/day
• Appointment Length: 10-30 depending on new consult, recheck, post-op, or procedure
• Demographics: Hub Hospital, Serve 16 surrounding counties, Population 200,000+
• EMR: Epic
• Teaching Opportunity: IM and FM residency; PA student rotation

Services offered in the practice:

• Providers are required to be able to perform these services.
• Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement.
• Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures.
• Trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and other disorders.

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified - REQUIRED (cannot accept Board Eligible)
• Clean Malpractice/Background - REQUIRED - please upload Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month) at time of presentation
• Active IA License (no IMLC candidates this round) - REQUIRED
• Must be able to cover the 2 blocks of dates - REQUIRED please note at time of name clear
