Job Description
The Industrial Cleaning & Painting Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and structural integrity of manufacturing and food processing facilities. This technician operates specialized equipment such as lifts, Dry Ice Blasting tools, Pneumatic Vacuum Cleaners, and high-pressure water blasters to clean and paint industrial structures and equipment both inside and out. The role demands adherence to safety and quality standards while communicating effectively with supervisors and customers. Flexibility for weekend work and overnight travel is required and all Saturday and Sunday hours worked will be paid at an overtime rate!
Pay is determined by skills and qualifications. Candidates with a valid driver's license will receive a higher starting rate..
Responsibilities
- Operate lifts, Dry Ice Blasting, Pneumatic Vacuum Cleaners, and high-pressure water blasters following proper training and certification
- Perform interior and exterior painting of industrial structures and equipment
- Remove dust and debris from assigned areas thoroughly
- Maintain professional and timely communication with customers
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding safety, quality, and integrity concerns
- Ensure all tasks meet safety regulations and quality standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Adapt to periodic overtime, weekend shifts, and overnight travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Perform physical activities involving full body movements including handling objects and equipment
- Capable of standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for prolonged periods
- Able to lift and move items over 60 lbs
- Use ladders and lifts safely
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment for extended durations
