Overview
Registered Nurse - Operating Room travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $533-$555 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 16-hour day shifts with rotating start times. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital performing OR procedures.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures; assist surgeons and anesthesia providers; coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff.
- Maintain patient safety and apply aseptic technique throughout the perioperative phase; prepare patients, position safely, and monitor status.
- Operate routinely used OR equipment and access facility information systems (EPIC) to retrieve and document relevant patient data.
- Participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care planning and assessment consistent with Surgery Department criteria; document care appropriately.
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; support room turnover and readiness for subsequent cases; respond to intraoperative emergencies as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of life safety, equipment, and environment of care plans applicable to the operating room setting.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year previous operating room experience; plus at least 2 years of recent RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS required
- EPIC experience required
- Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience preferred or required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Ability to work in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital OR setting
