Description Pay Range:$59,506 - $83,882 This position is responsible for timely and accurate financial reports, grant/contract reports, budget development, fixed assets, and other special financial reports. This employee must maintain a high level of accuracy with data entry into the accounting software. He/she will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger system, monitoring the accuracy of data input from other accounting modules, and assurance of accurate and timely reporting to internal and external sources. The employee will be cross trained for the Accounts Payable / Purchasing position and the Payroll / Cash Receipt position. These functions will be performed in accordance with agency policy and accounting standards.

JOB DUTIES:

Managing the General Ledger & Inventory System Responsible for managing the general ledger accounts and inventory system for the agency. This includes data integrity analysis of system inputs and correction follow-up, reviewing and authorizing payment of invoices, and ensuring accurate account and cost center coding. Financial Statements & Budgeting Responsible for creating monthly financial statements for the agency. Provides comparison of actual financial results to budget. Reconciles financial statements and conducts discrepancy follow-up. Assists with budget development and distribution. Maintains budget ledger in accounting software. Assists managers with understanding and using financial information. Grant and Contract Management Provides financial and budget information for grant requests, reporting and renewals. Completes grant and financial reports to receive grant reimbursement. Monitors grant utilization to ensure appropriate use of the grant. Purchase Order & Procurement Responsible for approval and ensuring procurement procedures have been followed including expenses are reasonable and customary. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. One to two years’ experience in accounting, budget development, and cost setting and analysis preferred. Candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of, and proficiency in, accounting procedures and automated accounting systems. Must demonstrate a high level of numeric accuracy and expertly utilize electronic spreadsheets. Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation to and from meetings and activities at varying work locations including all agency locations in Lake, Mason, and Oceana Counties. Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders are valued.
