Principal Engineer - Mechanical Design

Senior mechanical design engineer role at Pall Corporation (Danaher) focused on developing and qualifying aerospace fluid-system products. Lead cross-functional teams through design, development, and manufacturing phases while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and delivery timelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop mechanical designs meeting customer specifications and performance requirements
- Direct design engineers, drafters, technical writers, and scientists on assigned programs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize time and cost across products
- Identify and implement new technologies and manufacturing processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with customers and suppliers on technical issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline
- 8+ years mechanical design experience with aerospace fluid systems or pressure-containing components
- Strong knowledge of fluid system design principles, material selection, and manufacturing processes
- Experience leading substantial design projects and engineering teams
- Proficiency with international drawing standards (BS8888/ANSI Y14.5) and GD&T
- Valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record
