Reporting to the Site Quality Leader and taking day-to-day technical direction from our Senior Metrologist, you will learn to operate and program our inspection equipment and grow into an increasingly independent contributor. This is a hands-on, development-oriented role for someone eager to build deep technical expertise in dimensional inspection and measurement science within a fast-paced New Product Introduction environment.# **Job Description****Key Responsibilities:*** Learn to operate, program, and maintain a range of inspection equipment (e.g., CMMs, vision systems, and other dimensional measurement tools) under the guidance of the Senior Metrologist.* Assist with, and progressively take ownership of, weekly inspection equipment calibrations to ensure measurement accuracy and traceability.* Support the creation and revision of inspection programs for new and existing turbine airfoil parts.* Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving of inspection equipment issues, measurement discrepancies, and hardware inspection non-conformances.* Document inspection results, calibration records, and program changes in accordance with quality standards and procedures.* Collaborate with machining, engineering, and quality teams to support NPI part qualification and continuous improvement efforts.**Minimum Required Qualifications:*** Associate's degree or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution**GE Desired Characteristics:*** Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn* Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively* Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed* Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative* Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker* Foundational understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional measurement concepts.* Familiarity with CMM operations or programming a plus (training provided).* Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new software.* Ability to work 1st shift (6:30 am - 2:30 pm) in a manufacturing/lab environment.Because this role is intended to develop over time, we are especially interested in candidates who demonstrate:* Curiosity and a growth mindset - a genuine desire to learn the \"why\" behind measurement methods, not just the \"how.\"* Strong problem-solving instincts - the ability to methodically break down inspection issues and non-conformances and work toward root cause.* Attention to detail and precision - a natural rigor with data, tolerances, and documentation.* Ownership and initiative - willingness to take responsibility for tasks and follow through with minimal supervision as skills develop.* Collaboration and communication - comfort working closely with a mentor and cross-functional teams, and the ability to clearly explain findings.* Adaptability and resilience - the capacity to thrive in a dynamic NPI environment where priorities and part designs evolve.* Technical aptitude - an interest in programming, geometry/GD&T concepts, and mechanical systems.GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
