Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

This position involves floating to the Emergency Department at multiple locations within the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care.
Document patient care according to established standards.
Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care tailored to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and clinic policy, including patient and family education.
Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
Utilize clinical expertise to guide other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating concerns to the chain of command.
Engage in professional nursing continuum processes, unit practice activities, and peer review processes.
