Full Time Madisonville, LA, US JOB SUMMARY: Reports to the Field Installation Supervisor. Responsible for installation of a variety of equipment including: commercial refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, walk-in coolers and freezers, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, and related equipment. Customer-based activities involved in this position require an individual who is decisive, tactful, dependable, and who possesses initiative and within the scope of his or her experience, the ability to communicate well with all customer groups. Job-related contact can occur with virtually all demographic groups, with the majority of the contacts being owners, contractors, subcontractors, company managers, and service technicians. Installers are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance on HVACR equipment; planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and handling hazardous materials. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform supervised and unsupervised HVACR installation activities as directed by management. Interact in a professional manner with owners, contractors, subcontractors and co-workers. Observe and pay attention to details required for installation of complex HVACR systems. Coordinate with assigned foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently. Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations. Maintains company vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition. Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The job is performed under temperature extremes and in a generally hazard free environment.
