Data Solution ArchitectLocation: Houston, TX ***Onsite required***The Solution Architect will work across multiple projects and will be accountable for all aspects of the solution architecture. The Solution Architect will have the overall design accountability on projects and be responsible for ensuring the alignment to Function & Segment roadmaps and the completeness of the architecture. The Solution Architect will work closely with the project manager and business to turn business requirements into technical solutions. The architect will steer the project through architecture processes including agreeing architecture deliverables, quality assuring the project technical outputs and arranging & coordinating design reviews at appropriate stages of the projects lifecycle. The Solution Architect will be accountable for ensuring Chief Architects sign-off for solutions and architectures as part of this process.Requirements:Architect with extensive software and data engineering experience who is comfortable to produce high quality code to turn blueprint architecture into software frameworks and delegate / manage data engineers to build out the rest of their architecture blueprint components aligned to the platforms and programming languages specified in the JD. As a member of our Architecture team, your responsibility will be to provide governance, architectural guidance, architecture reviews and key design decisions across a range of products built upon the Azure platform. As a data platform architecture SME you will be a key point of contact for the Intelligent Operation teams, encouraging best practice & standards, reusability to design solutions using varied Azure native products like Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, MLFlow, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic App, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Dataware house etc. As an architectural stakeholder and trusted advisor to the design authority, you would engage with product stakeholders in understanding their product vision, product roadmaps, technical gaps enabling you to identify opportunities in scaling their product or aligning to our architectural principles. As an architect you should able to engage with product vendors to drive requirements to fulfil internal data products capabilities. Act as a key point of escalation to product teams, mediating and resolving conflicts. Must be aware of BP ecosystem and BP processes (e.g. know how to get access for various internal tools/applications/environments). Person should be motivated and self-driven.Experience:TOGAF Certification 4+ years Architecture Development Experience with focus on Machine Learning at Scale In depth knowledge and work experience of Azure Technologies Azure ML Azure Data Factory Databricks Logic App SQL Server Azure ML Log Analytics Big Data Storage Strategies and Technologies ML Libraries and algorithms Knowledge of Programming Languages like Scala, Python, R etc for practical application Proven experience in having delivered integrated technical solutions on Azure Understanding of Architectural Governance Process Experience with Agile MethodologiesResponsibilities:Recommending innovations which enhance the operation and functionality of Customer systems; Hold overall design authority on projects and accountable for all aspects of the solution architecture; Have an understanding of the function or business area and how the projects are aligned to business goals; Ensure solution alignment with Functions or Segment strategies and roadmaps including alignment to Bill-of-IT’s; Produce high quality architecture documentation and outputs in line with the Architecture Common Process (ACP) and Design to Operate standards; Participate in project RFI/RFP’s by providing architectural criteria and undertaking technical validation & assessment of vendor responses; Perform quality assurance and architecture approval of project technical deliverables from 3rd Party or Integration Partners; Drive compliance to Digital Security, Data Privacy & IT&S Standards within solutions and see through any exceptions; Proactively identify and effectively mitigate all architectural risks; Interface with the wider architecture community.Required Skills: Azure, SalesForce.
