About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cath Lab Recovery RN – Western North Carolina

Start Date: July 6, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (two 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM shifts and one 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM shift). No weekly call or weekend requirements.

Highlights:

• 24-bed Cath Lab Recovery unit specializing in pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization, EP lab, and structural heart patients
• 3:1 patient ratio with CNA support and comprehensive resources including IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, telemetry, and Zoll equipment
• Perform advanced nursing procedures including sheath pulls, groin management, cardioversions, radial access site management, and general anesthesia recovery
• Documentation utilizing Cerner EMR system
• Minimal floating required (occasionally to IR Pre/Post); flex scheduling based on unit volume
• Work at a nationally recognized facility with Level II trauma designation, comprehensive stroke center, and busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license
• ACLS certification required
• ICU or Cardiac Stepdown experience required
• Competency in pulling sheaths and managing procedural cardiac patients
• Previous Cath Lab or EP Lab experience strongly preferred
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Critical care and procedural background with knowledge of cardiac diagnoses
