Job Description:

The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures including procedures of an invasive nature. Machine is a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner. The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient, operates various pieces of specialized equipment and determines the technical factors for exposure. They must ensure correct marking/labeling of all films. The CT Technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care. They also must take call.

Responsibilities:

• Perform computerized Tomography procedures including invasive procedures.
• Position and instruct the patient, and operate specialized equipment.
• Determine technical factors for exposure.

Requirements:

• Graduate of approved AMA school of Radiology and be a registered ARRT.
• Possess knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy.
• Possession of two years diagnostic experience desirable.
• Ability to lift and move weights as per job demands.
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required; must apply proper body mechanics.
• Requires good stamina, flexibility, manual dexterity, and motor skills.
• Requires computer skills.
• Demonstrates accurate judgment/decision-making ability consistent with radiology knowledge and skills.
