Interventional Radiology RN

Interventional Radiology RN needed for New Bedford, MA hospital for 13+ weeks, 40 hrs, M-F 8 hr shifts, with on call 1-2 nights per week and every 3-4 weekends

$75/hour

Duties

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring proper positioning and aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians during procedures such as catheterizations, biopsies, and other image-guided interventions using advanced imaging modalities like CT (Computed Tomography) and fluoroscopy.
• Administer medications including IV infusions, pain management agents, and Botulinum toxin treatments with precision and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Valid RN license with current state certification; experience working in an acute care or hospital setting preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical documentation standards including ICD-10 coding.
• Prior experience assisting with interventional radiology procedures or similar specialties such as cardiology catheterization or neurointerventional procedures is highly desirable.
