Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO)
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join the growing inpatient program at Cuero Community Hospital in Cuero, Texas.
Opportunity to practice in a low-volume inpatient setting with strong autonomy and a manageable patient census in a state-of-the-art acute care facility.
Position Highlights:
- 49-bed acute care facility
- Annual hospitalist encounters: 3,000 (approximately 8 patient visits per day)
- Average 2.5 admissions per day
- Average daily census of 4 patients
- 24-hour shift schedule with daytime rounding and on-call availability until the following morning
- Open ICU
- No procedures required
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- Patient satisfaction score reporting and accountability
Qualifications:
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with hospitalist experience
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
