Food Runner

Job Description Food runners support the servers in providing a seamless and efficient dining experience for our Guests. Helping to transport food from the kitchen, and fill in with guest requests and clean up as needed provides an additional layer of support for the Guest experience. Essential Functions Expedite food for servers that comes out of the pass-through window Introduce food when it is dropped off at the table Must be knowledgeable about the food and comfortable answering questions about the menu Fulfill customer requests such as retrieving utensils, drinks, or refills Communicate new orders to the server in their section Assist with settling tables Spot‑clean the floor around tables Change grills for Guests as needed or upon request Assist bussers with clearing tables as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED certificate Excellent interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional Guest service; service oriented with a “Guests come first” mentality Possesses a friendly, outgoing, positive and enthusiastic attitude Ability to be professional and courteous with general public Able to exercise good judgment while working both independently and collaboratively; works well in a team environment Able to work in a noisy and sometimes chaotic environment and be flexible under a variety of circumstances Punctual, neat, and accurate in work habits; precise and detail-oriented Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended schedules during peak periods The ability to adjust to business needs and display a sense of urgency during peak hours Valid ServSafe Food Handler’s Certificate Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certificate Physical Demands Able to move from place to place which may include standing and/or walking for extended periods of time Lift and carry 45 lbs short distances Dress Code Black button‑up and black pants, non‑slip shoes Pay Range $16.50/hr to $21.50/hr + Tips EEO Statement Ember Korean BBQ is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and values diversity, inclusion and respect.
