The Healing Mind and Soul Center is actively seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our compassionate team in San Diego, California. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide individualized in-home therapy sessions or conduct group therapy sessions at our outpatient facility, using various therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's needs. \n
- Facilitate skill-building workshops, including anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training to assist clients in reducing high-risk behaviors. \n
- Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals, conducting joint sessions and integrating various support strategies to optimize client outcomes. \n
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to designated timelines. \n
- Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss case management and contribute recommendations for service improvement and client care enhancement. \n
The therapist will primarily work with children aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This role requires sensitivity towards the unique needs of these children, providing effective behavioral support and therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing their emotional and psychological resilience. By implementing proven methodologies grounded in evidence-based practices, the therapist will play a crucial role in shaping positive behaviors and promoting healthier family dynamics.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required. \n
- An active and unrestricted LMFT license in California is a must. \n
- Availability to commit a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) with flexibility for weekend sessions. \n

- Proven experience in providing positive behavior support and effective therapeutic techniques for children with developmental or intellectual disabilities. \n
- Previous work involving age groups from 3-20 years is highly advantageous. \n
- Experience in collaborative environments, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to achieve comprehensive care outcomes. \n
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as travel to clients' homes may be required for consistent service delivery. \n
- Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure a secure environment for our clients. \n
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
