Job Description Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Care Unit, specializing in critical care for cardiovascular patients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CVICU, including familiarity with IABP and Impella devices. Responsibilities Provide high-level care in a fast-paced cardiac critical care environment. Monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly those with cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and heart failure. Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies. Assist with bedside procedures such as central line insertions, chest tube placements, and bronchoscopy. Care for patients on advanced mechanical support devices, including ECMO, LVAD, IABP, and Impella. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license in the state of Maryland. ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications required. NIHSS and CCRN preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing, specifically in CVICU; first-time travelers must present strong skill sets.
