Works as an assistant or in a supplemental capacity to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution Security Specialist.

Provides advice on physical security matters involving the safeguarding of property, assets, and/or material from theft, loss, misuse, fraud, disclosure, espionage, or sabotage.

Assures that access by employees and others to secure assets, and material is clearly consistent with position sensitivity and in the national interest.

Performs administrative tasks in support of established physical security programs, including personnel, physical, information, and industrial security, when such work is required.

Administers the security badge program for military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Responsible for badge issuance, inventory control, accountability, and records management.

Prepares and edits all office correspondence for accuracy and format.

Oversees depot parking operations. Develops and implements parking procedures, issues permits, resolves conflicts, and serves as the primary liaison for all parking-related inquiries.
