This position is responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment used to manufacture components and finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule. This position is also responsible for assembling foam parts, assisting the machine operator with materials for the machines and maintain the department/area so that it is in clean condition free of unnecessary material and/or debris. This position works in a normal production/maintenance environment with exposure to temperature changes and loud noise./ppCarpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to maintain daily communications with Department Manager and other employees in the department. Major responsibilities involve producing products with varying cutting instructions based production requirements./ppstrongYour additional responsibilities as an Operator B will include:/strong/polliRecords pertinent data into the SAP system/liliConducts quality checks of all material to meet customer specifications/liliMake sure all finished product is labeled correctly/liliMaintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment/liliAssist with inventory/liliPerforming quality check processes by measuring material and ensuring that it matches the specification on each label/liliPerimeter edge foam manufacturing and packaging/liliOperating the bale machine/liliWrap, seal and label foam according to customer specifications and customer quantities/li/olpstrongSkills and requirements/strong/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED/liliMust be able to read and interpret a tape measure/liliBasic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations/liliBasic reading, writing and math skills/liliAbility to work flexible hours and overtime/li/ulpPay depends on qualifications and experience.
