Express Employment Professionals is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Registration Associate to support a healthcare organization in the Gillette area. This temporary role serves as the first point of contact for prospective patients, helping coordinate admissions, conduct initial screenings, and ensure a positive patient experience.
What You'll Do
- Conduct initial health screenings and intake assessments
- Evaluate eligibility based on program and admission criteria
- Identify urgent concerns and communicate with clinical staff
- Collect, verify, and maintain accurate patient records
- Coordinate admissions with healthcare providers and referral sources
- Explain admission requirements and next steps to patients and families
- Document screening results in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Process referrals and assist with program placement
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
- Previous experience in healthcare admissions, intake, case management, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Strong interviewing and assessment skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems
- Professional, compassionate, and organized approach to patient care
