Mental Health Technician

Provides direct and indirect care, under the direction of the registered nurse (RN), for a patient or an assigned group of patients. Meets patient care needs through the use of the nursing process. Cares for patients of different age groups by using age related interventions as assigned by the RN.

Night Shift 2300 - 0730; 5x8s with every other weekend. CNA/Mental Health Tech. CNA must have mental Health experience. Location Vallejo.Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: RequiredAssociate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredTwo years' experience in a behavioral healthcare setting: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: PreferredNonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification: PreferredManagement of Assaultive Behavior certification: PreferredFacility Specific License/Certifications:AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: RequiredDepartment Specific License/Certifications:Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI): Required
