Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized tests and observational analysis.
• Craft tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Work in concert with an interdisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide educational support to patients and families to foster progress beyond the therapy setting.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the patient's journey.
• Keep thorough and up-to-date records according to state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with field advancements.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who have not yet obtained ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
