Summary

Keep our operations running safely and efficiently by servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment across our plant facility. In this hands-on role, you will play a critical part in supporting daily production, minimizing downtime, and ensuring equipment reliability in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify issues, implement solutions, and help drive continuous improvement. Benefits

This position has a target wage of $31.06 per hour, with negotiated increases. Overtime may be available.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely diagnose, perform preventative maintenance as assigned and resolve all operational and process failures with facility machinery and equipment, such as conveyance systems, Dust Control systems, and Fire Suppression systems, etc.
• Read, interpret, and understand manufacturer equipment manuals and electronic and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Perform preventive maintenance as assigned. Generate and submit paperwork related to work performed, e.g., PM (preventative maintenance) sheet, work order, and work record logs.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and outages during both on and off duty hours to ensure operations continue 24-hours daily.
• Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout-tagout and company safety book guidelines.
• Inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential problems.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
• Compile and complete paperwork relative to repairs to include but not limited to JSA's and proactive observations; ability to respond to emergency calls during non-scheduled hours.
• Perform all work within safety guidelines established by company policy and local/state/federal agencies, such as OSHA, WISHA, EPA, NEC, NFPA, etc.; and perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Reading, writing, math and analytical skills.
• Trouble shooting switches, 3 phase motor and service light fixtures and ballasts.

Preferred Education and Experience

• PLC-based Industrial Controls and Automation Fundamentals.
• Process Sensors/Switches (Digital and Analog).
• 3 - Phase Motor Circuits / Controllers / VFD's / Control Centers.
• AC and DC Circuit Fundamentals.
• Power Distribution/Switchgears.
• Power Transmissions.
• Dry Bulk Conveyance.
• Some understanding of Process Improvement (RCA, Six Sigma, etc.).

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Position is active.
• On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine.
• May need to move equipment occasionally.
• May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
• Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.

When in a plant environment:

• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB.
• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
