Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies.This department includes all functions related to operating room services, including intraoperative patient care. It also may include perfusion services, inpatient and/or outpatient services, and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU, anesthesia functions, pre op holding, and/or central sterile functions. If your department is operating as a combined department with all surgery services combined, please notify FP&A and we can map it to "Surgical Services Combined Without Anesthesia" to provide you with an appropriate benchmark.

requirement :

Evening Shift, 8 hrs shifts, 11am to 7:30 pm, call can be minimum 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend a month. need qualified candidates who are well versed in general laparoscopy, Neuro, Spin and Ortho. preferred knowledge of Robotic Surgery will be a benefit.Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: RequiredAssociate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredScrub technician experience: PreferredOperating room experience and/or training course: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Surgery Technician certification: PreferredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: RequiredCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
