Registered Nurse (RN) Transition to Endoscopy

Registered Nurse Gastroenterology Lab/Endoscopy And Interventional Pulmonology

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Gastroenterology Lab/Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology team. Nurses rotate between pre-op, intra-op and PACU. This position offers the unique opportunity to be trained in the GE and IP areas working with patients in both PreOp and PACU.

This is a full time, 4x10hr shifts per week. Call is taken on a rotating basis for after-hour emergencies, on weekends & on holidays.

This role requires enrollment and completion of a Specialty Periop/GE Program including five mandatory classes on unit orientation. The start date will be August 2.

RN Fellow Endoscopy Qualifications:

• Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse-
• Certification - Basic Life Support through AHA
• Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
• Education-Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, Complete BSN within 5 years of start date

RN Fellow Endoscopy Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years in acute care nursing: to include med/surg tele and IMCU experience
• Prefer candidates who demonstrate meaningful contributions to their unit, including participation in committees, involvement in projects, taking on unit charge, serving as preceptor, or engaging in other activities that support team success.
