About the Role:The project Senior Discipline Engineer (Functional Safety) is responsible to perform assigned FuSa activities within the project, in accordance with Valeo FuSa methodology (based on ISO26262 Functional Safety Standard). Is functional reporting to Project Functional Safety Manager (PFSM) and its PL FuSa Metier Manager.Responsibilities Also Include:Analyses / defines functional safety requirements within the project based on Customer Requirements Carries out design analysis to support the development of safety case arguments for safety related productsSupports integration of the safety activities in the development projectCreates / Contributes as necessary (planned) to hazard and risk analyses, safety plan, functional and technical safety conceptSpecifies safety requirements and safety concepts for system / componentSupports the definition/specification of safety requirements for hardware and software architecturesDemonstrate how the chosen technical concept will comply with functional safety requirementsCollaborates with the design team in the design of effective technical solution aimed to achieve adequate robustness at System, HW and SW architectural level in compliance with ISO26262.Contributes in the product development process, by creating the appropriate work products that meet the requirements of the relevant functional safety standards.Supports Safety Assessment Reviews held by safety assessorLeads or participates in safety analysis processes (e.g. FMEAs, FTAs, FMEDAs, etc.)Supports the safety verification & validation activitiesSupports customer review meetingsTracks and documents necessary safety activities within a project as planned for him/her- Cooperates with the PFSM and other FuSa resources in other sites or external contractorsDocuments the safety activities allocated to their, establish evidence of FuSa for related documentsWhat You Should Have:Bachelors degree in Engineering or related 4-8 years' experience with functional safetySuccessfully completed studies in computer science or electrical engineeringSeveral years of professional experience as a software developer in the field of image or signal processing, software architect or similar.Experience in the field of definition system validation is an advantage (key performance indicator) and creation of test strategiesGood experience in dealing with the programming language C++ Knowledge of the automotive environment (e.g. V-model, SPICE, FuSi according to ISO 26262, AUTOSAR)Good knowledge of German and EnglishVery good presentation skillsWillingness to familiarize yourself with new projects and topicsTeamwork, flexibility and resilienceJoin us!Thanks to its strategy focused on innovation, Valeo aims at reducing CO² emissions and developing intuitive driving to propose greener, safer, and smarter mobility.
