Henry Fiarbanks Fellowship (Visiting Instructor): Performing Arts & English ThePerforming Artsand Englishprograms at Saint Michael’s Collegeinvite applications for a full-timevisiting fellowpositionin Performing Arts and English. Candidates should be prepared to teach Directing,Introduction to Acting,Theatre as Literature,and other courses; direct at least one(of two)mainstage production per year; mentor student directors; act as amentor to the student Drama Club; and work withtheDirector of Public Relationsto create publicity and PR for program events. In addition, faculty members are expected to participate inschool-and college-wide committees and service . The position includes shared responsibility for student advising a s well as departmental activities and events. Preferred Qualifications: Previous t eaching experience is preferred Strong organizational and administrative skills Conversant in historical theatre practices and contemporary professional practices A d emonstrated background and experience in acting and directing Preferred a bility to teach courses in drama, musical theater, and literature , especially non-American literature Candidates must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States.
