Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification is a must for consideration
- Experience delivering 1:1 or small group instruction, preferably in school settings
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to fit diverse learning profiles and needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted, individualized instruction to support student IEP goals
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet specific educational and behavioral objectives
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, school counselors, and administrators
- Track and document student progress, communicating updates and insights to families and team members
- Adapt classroom materials and modify curriculum to promote student access and participation
- Advocate for student needs and ensure consistent adherence to policies and best practices
