Job Description And Duties Under the direction of the Section Chief, the Tax Administrator I plans, organizes and evaluates the operations and activities of the benefit overpayment collection program. The incumbent is responsible for the overall administration, integrity and procedures of the Benefit Overpayment Collection Section processes relating to Unemployment Insurance (UI), Disability Insurance (DI), and Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefit Accounts Receivables. The incumbent carries out the group's mission to provide accuracy and application of policies and procedures, while balancing the needs of internal and external customers, staff resources, and workload priorities. The incumbent assists the Section Chief in a multitude of critical functions such as continuous monitoring of workloads, policy changes, staff training, and outreach to partner entities to ensure our processes are accurate and efficient. The incumbent directs and reviews workloads and processes for the Section. The incumbent actively participates as a leader and contributing member of the Collection Division management team for planning, organizing, and decision-making processes. The incumbent works in collaboration with other members of the Section's management team as well as other divisions, and provides leadership to subordinate staff in support of the group's mission to ensure effective coordination of the benefit overpayment collection workloads. The incumbent applies provisions of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC), Civil Code and other regulations, policies and procedures in the course of managing staff resources, workloads and processes. Position located at 10949 Trade Center Dr., 1st and 2nd floors, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. This position is headquartered in Rancho Cordova and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed.
