Fabrication Welder / General Laborer: Milledgeville, Illinois

Our customer in Milledgeville, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. Were recruiting Fabrication Welders / General Laborers to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Fabrication Welder / General Laborer, you will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and supporting production operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Fabrication Welder / General Laborer:

• Fabricate, weld, and assemble components used in production of mild and stainless-steel products.
• Maintain consistent attendance and follow assigned work schedule.
• Read and use a tape measure accurately to complete tasks.
• Clean galvanized parts using hand-held grinders and other hand tools.
• Grind or clean welded joints as required.
• Tap and re-tap holes in galvanized weldments.
• Assist in cutting and grinding foam-covered padded boards.
• Move and carry raw materials throughout the facility.
• Assist in crating and packaging finished goods for shipment.
• Perform minor assembly of finished parts.

Fabrication Welder / General Laborer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing or construction experience required.
• Welding experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure to at least 1/16 (1/32 preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated.
• Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company.

Pay for Fabrication Welder / General Laborer:

$20.00/hour with opportunity for a raise upon hire.

Schedule: Monday Friday from 7:00am 5:00pm. Saturdays from 7:00am 12:00pm as scheduled. Two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch.
