- Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses, collaborating with physicians as necessary or working autonomously based on your credentials
- Educating patients and their families on prevention strategies, wellness practices, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and treatment plans within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic conditions
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive care
- Maintaining meticulous documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) appropriate for your specialty
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
- A blend of strong clinical judgment and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals

- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort in using telehealth technology
