This position will be located on-site in Melbourne, FL. This position is for the 1st shift with a 9/80 work schedule.Role and Responsibilities:We are looking for an Engineer who can conduct stress analyses on mechanical systems such as mechanically and hydraulicly driven doors as well as their associated locking mechanisms. The candidate should be well versed in various methods of static analysis including, section checks, lug checks, joint strength and column stability. They should also have a strong understanding of durability analysis and internal load development of mechanisms including both Freebody and FEM methods. Basic Qualifications Structural Engineer (Level 2):Basic qualifications for a Structural Analysis Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with no years of experience.Experience in structural analysis methods and documentation, including classical hand calculation and large Finite Element Model manipulation.Experience in structural analysis of mechanical systems. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
