NICU Transport Specialist

Location: Savannah, GA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Description: The NICU Transport Specialist is responsible for providing critical neonatal care during transport, ensuring the safety and well-being of neonates in a variety of settings. The specialist will utilize advanced skills in airway management, transport physiology, and equipment troubleshooting while coordinating with multiple healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bag-mask ventilation and manage advanced airways.
• Assist with line placements and transport stabilization.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (e.g., ABG, CBG, glucose).
• Ensure communication between sending and receiving facilities.
• Manage equipment restraints, power sources, and gas supply during transport.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years NICU Transport experience.
• Certifications required: RRT or CRT, NRP, PALS; STABLE preferred.
• Proficiency in neonatal airway and ventilation techniques.
• Understanding of transport physiology and safety protocols.
