Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,419 a week in all, a taxable rate of $22.09 an hour plus $1,624 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

The healthcare professional specializing in Ultrasonographer Echo in this location will be responsible for prioritizing and scheduling ultrasound exams, coordinating with medical staff, patients, and families. The role involves performing adult transthoracic echocardiograms, including use of contrast agents and bubble echo, with a focus on inpatient care settings.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week, including weekends.
• Required Qualifications: HS diploma or GED; ARDMS (Obstetric, abdominal, neuro, breast, or vascular) or CCI (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certification; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Responsible for preparing patients for exams by following identification protocols, educating patients and families on procedures, and transporting patients as needed.
• Performs ultrasound exams consistent with protocols and ensures patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
• Appropriately documents exam results and other pertinent information, ensuring accurate charges for exams and supplies.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area, and stocks supplies, coordinating repairs and supply needs through appropriate channels.
• Supports team efforts and quality improvement initiatives, participates in educational opportunities to maintain clinical competence, and may provide education to staff, fellows, and students.
• Focused on adult transthoracic echocardiography, with experience using contrast agents and bubble echo; transesophageal echocardiogram and pediatric experience are a plus.
• Certification requirements include ARDMS or CCI in cardiac or vascular sonography.
