We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Midwest Utility Operations team. This leadership role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex electrical construction projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing multi-million-dollar projects in the utility sector, particularly in high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution systems. This position is based in our Indianapolis, Indiana office and requires regular travel to job sites in the Midwest.Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:Lead and manage all aspects of assigned utility construction projects, including budget, schedule, resources, and workforce allocationEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standardsDrive timely decision-making and provide direction to maximize project profitability and efficiencySupervise project teams, including field leadership and administrative staffOversee and optimize the use of company-owned and rented equipmentContribute to and review project schedules, cost tracking, and reportingSupport development and execution of subcontracts, purchase orders, and proposalsReview and approve construction methods, site purchases, and operational practicesMonitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulationsPrepare and submit monthly job cost reports and financial updatesAct as a key liaison with clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfactionLead project close-out processes to ensure contractual and company requirements are metSupport employee development and company training initiativesAssume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electric Management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 10+ years of project management experience on multi-million-dollar electrical construction projectsProven experience in high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution projectsStrong understanding of utility construction practices and safety standardsSkills:Exceptional leadership and team management abilitiesStrong communication skills with the ability to engage internal teams and clients at all levelsStrategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementEqual Employment Opportunity Statement: Sargent Electric Company and all its affiliate companies are committed to providing equal employment opportunities in all aspects of employment to qualified individuals without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, mental or physical disability, age, familial or marital status, ancestry, military status, veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected status under applicable law.
