Description
American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level III or higher NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy unit within a 430-bed hospital
- NICU patient population requiring Level III or higher experience
- Normal floor assignment of 20-25 treatments per round
- Uses oxygen, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and blood gas machines
- Performs nebulizer treatments, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, and arterial blood gases
- Meditech EMR
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekend requirement
- On-call expectation of approximately one 24-hour shift every 5-6 weeks
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Current RRT credential
- Current VA state license (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- NRP certification required for staff caring for neonates
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- ICU experience required
- Navy blue scrub attire required
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

- Fast-paced work environment suited for candidates who thrive under pressure
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
