Location Avera Prince of Peace-Skilled Nursing Worker Position Details Type: Regular. Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America). Pay Range: $24.50 – $48.50 (actual pay rate dependent upon experience). Upon Hire license requirements: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing, Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing. Position Highlights Varied shifts, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am–7:30 pm/7:00 pm–7:30 am, with every other weekend/holiday; 48 hrs/2 wks. Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000. New grads eligible to apply. A Brief Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends to understand residents conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re‑evaluating care objectives. What you will do Provide resident care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health‑care team, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends; conferring with physicians. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining residents, documenting residents physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors, conferring with family and friends, developing a nursing diagnosis, establishing nursing care objectives, and defining nursing interventions, schedules, and timetables. Teach healthcare requirements by establishing resident care goals, instructing resident, family, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills, answering questions, and providing information and resources. Evaluate resident’s care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against resident care standards, reviewing resident’s records, noting changing conditions and needs, re‑evaluating care objectives, and modifying the nursing care plan. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy resident care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, controlled substance regulations, organization standards and policies, and legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns. Keep resident care equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Keep resident care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and stocking items. Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers to and from the facility. Direct, plan, and coordinate the workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
