2027 Spring Co-Op, Development Engineer

Zimmer Biomet

A multi-rotational co-op program in orthopedic device development at a global medical technology company. Students will support design, development, and processing of implants and instruments while gaining exposure to R&D operations in an FDA-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Generate design control documentation including risk analyses and design reviews
Participate in cross-functional project teams on orthopedic device initiatives
Investigate product complaints and prepare technical reports
Support design, development, and processing of implants and instruments
May participate in cadaveric studies as part of product validation

Requirements

Actively enrolled in B.S./B.E. engineering program (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred)
GPA 3.2 or higher preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD systems
Strong technical writing and verbal communication abilities
U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship required
Ability to work full-time and temporarily relocate for on-site assignments
