Overview The Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapy. They conduct PET/CT scans for cancer staging and cardiac perfusion studies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in nuclear medicine and radiation safety, with experience in diagnostic imaging settings. Key Responsibilities Administer radiopharmaceuticals for procedures. Operate nuclear medicine equipment like PET scanners. Prepare and position patients for scans. Maintain and perform quality checks on equipment. Document procedures in EHR systems like Epic or PACS. Adhere to radiation safety protocols. This role is crucial for nuclear imaging in disease detection.
