Senior Manager, Programming Full Time Management Las Vegas, NV, US Job Title: Senior Manager, Programming Department: Programming Reports to: Director, Programming Status: Full-Time, Exempt Work Location: Fully Onsite | The Smith Center for the Performing Arts Summary of Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Director, Programming, the Senior Manager, Programming is responsible for managing and coordinating key business and operational matters related to Programming while partnering closely with cross-functional departments throughout the organization. Key business responsibilities include artist/show offers, rider and show expenses, ticket audits, payments, settlements, and departmental budgeting. The Senior Manager, Programming collaborates with artist/show promoters and tour managers on settlement and related business matters before, during, and after performances, coordinating required follow-through with appropriate TSC departments. In addition to these business responsibilities, the Senior Manager, Programming plays a hands‑on role in supporting the operational execution of performances and is present onsite before and during performances, as needed, to address business‑related matters and provide management oversight. The role also provides direct supervision and oversight to the Artist Services Manager, helping to ensure the effective coordination of artist accommodations, transportation, hospitality, and other logistical needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities With close consultation with the Chief of Staff and the Director, Programming, prepares the annual Programming budget and the associated programming details contained within. The Director, Programming will review and make necessary adjustments in partnership with the VP/COO to have a final sign-off before the final Programming Budget is submitted to Finance. Issues all TSC House Presentation and 4 Wall Engagements Contracts in Reynolds Hall, Myron’s, and Troesh Theater, including ensuring that a fully executed contract is received prior to the show date. Reviews and edits all outside contracts with the Chief of Staff for a final sign-off. All fully executed contracts are to be uploaded to Momentus Elite and physically stored in the show folders. Reviews and edits all riders with the Chief of Staff for final approval. Edited riders will be uploaded to Momentus Elite and physically filed in the corresponding show folders. Communicates and disseminates any unusual or critical rider information to the relevant show-related departments. Attends and is present onsite as needed (days, nights, weekends) for shows to address settlements and other business matters in addition to providing management oversight. As required, assists with the onsite coordination of backstage pre-show and post-show Meet & Greets with Programming, Artist Services, Marketing, and Development. Collaborates with the Artist Services Manager to ensure timely completion of all travel, lodging, and/or ground transportation arrangements as outlined in the proforma, while adhering to the established budget as closely as possible. Facilitates ongoing communication and coordination efforts with the Artist Services Manager to track progress on arrangements, offering support in overcoming challenges encountered in obtaining necessary information promptly. This includes proactively liaising with agents, if needed, to address and resolve any issues. Supports the Artist Services Manager during show-nights with various tasks and assignments as needed. Provides guarantee payments to Artists and/or Tour Management prior to, or during show(s). Prepares and compiles the preliminary and final show settlements including the box office final audits, deposits and/or pre-payments, all expense documentation, and any final amounts due to artists, shows, or promoters. Submits any necessary Artist/show-related payment invoices through the TSC intranet (typically 4 Wall deals). Partners with Finance on the accuracy of all post-show “Event Reports” to be uploaded into VenueOps. Collaborates with VP/COO and cross‑functional departments and show‑related budgeting, purchasing & capital expenditures pertaining to Programming, Stage Labor & Hospitality/Special Events. Attends any necessary, regularly scheduled TSC departmental and organizational meetings. Fosters a positive and collaborative working environment and nurtures team member morale. Maintains regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. Performs other duties as assigned in alignment with the scope and responsibilities of the role. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Theater Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in programming, or theater production management. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and collaborating with artists, shows, promoters, and production teams. Experience in negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and overseeing financial settlements related to performances. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor team members effectively. This position requires the ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, as necessary to support performances, events, and operational needs. Must be over 21 years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Strong working knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets, budgets, financial settlements, and related reports. Experience working with arts management software such as Tessitura and Momentus Elite is preferred. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new software applications, databases, and technology platforms relevant to programming and venue operations. Most of this job will be performed indoors in a climate‑controlled environment. Occasional work in outdoor event spaces may be required based on operational needs.
