Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Garden City, NY 11530

Shift: M-F 7:30AM 3:30PM (with potential extension based on business needs)

Pay Rate: $25/hr.

Job Description

Position Summary

The MRB Coordinator will support Material Review Board (MRB) activities by managing nonconforming material processes, facilitating defect investigations, maintaining accurate documentation, and driving timely disposition of discrepant material. This is a hands-on contract position ideal for a candidate with manufacturing, quality, or engineering experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily MRB activities and ensure timely review and disposition of nonconforming material.
• Maintain MRB logs, records, and disposition documentation.
• Track material movement into and out of MRB locations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to expedite disposition decisions.
• Monitor aging MRB inventory and drive closure of open items.
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action tracking.
• Compile and analyze defect data by product, department, process, and operator.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and rework.

Education

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent manufacturing and quality experience will be considered.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing engineering, or a related environment.

• Experience supporting MRB, nonconformance management, or corrective actions preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk through production and manufacturing areas.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
