Traffic Engineer

Traffic Engineer/Pm/Business DevelopmentWe are in search of a traffic engineer/pm/business development that will build a traffic engineering team on a wide variety of traffic engineering projects primarily in Georgia and surrounding states in the southeast. The ideal candidate will have experience in traffic signal plan preparation, traffic impact studies, managing projects and bringing in new business/building a team.Responsibilities:Traffic Signal DesignPrepare traffic signal plans in accordance with city/county/state (GDOT) standardsPrepare signing and marking plansPrepare ITS/communications plansAttend design meetings and interact with clientsTraffic StudiesPrepare traffic impact studies to determine the impact and mitigation of developments of various sizesPrepare development of regional impact (DRI) studiesPrepare intersection/corridor studiesPrepare traffic calming studies in compliance with applicable traffic control device regulations, standards, and specificationsPrepare crash data analysis and develop crash diagrams and provides recommendations for mitigation.Attend planning commission, zoning board of appeal, and/or city council meetings as neededTraffic Signal OperationsPrepare analysis relating to traffic signal timingWorking knowledge/proficiency of traffic software and systemsMicroStationAutoCAD Civil 3DSynchro 11/SimTraffic 11Sidra Intersection 9HCS 7MUTCD and GDOT design guidelines/standardsMicrosoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TeamsRequired:Bachelor's degree in civil or traffic engineering7 years of recent experience in traffic or transportation engineeringPE in GA
