Travel LPN/LVN – Correctional Facility | Rome, NY

Location: Rome, NY 13440
Contract Length: 26–52 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 6:53 AM)

Travel Pay: From $1650/week
Local Pay: From $35/hr

Description: We are seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a long-term travel assignment in a correctional healthcare setting in Rome, NY. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential patient care while working within a secure clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

Administer medications, including controlled substances
Monitor vital signs and perform patient assessments
Conduct health screenings and assist with admissions
Provide wound care and dressing changes
Manage feeding tubes and Foley catheters
Respond to medical emergencies
Document patient care and treatment accurately
Communicate patient status changes to RNs and physicians
Follow infection control, PPE, and facility safety protocols

Requirements:

Active NY State LPN License
BLS Certification
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
Experience in skilled nursing, medical-surgical, ambulatory care, or correctional healthcare preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a secure environment

Important Notes:

In-person interview required (Monday–Friday at 3:00 PM)
State criminal background clearance required prior to start.
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
