Requirements & Responsibilities Applicants for this position must be willing to work 8:30am – 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Must be willing to assist in required personal care routines. Applicants should have a love of teaching, working with children, and have the desire to learn and grow within the early childhood education field! Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence through quality teacher‑created lesson planning that utilizes gathered assessment data. Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance. Establish positive and effective family relations through professional communication. Proficient with inter‑personal communication between children, peers and parents. Must maintain professional commitment to the Goddard play‑based educational philosophy. Applicants Have OR Must Be Willing to Obtain A degree or certification in Education or Early Childhood Education or an Education related field. An active Merit account - Washington's Professional Development & Workforce Registry. A approved Portable Background Check (through Merit). Applicants must be willing to commute to The Goddard School in Redmond Ridge.
