Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with CA licensure and scrub/circulate experience in cardiac, hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, and ophthalmology services.

Job Details

• Operating Room setting within a hospital environment,
• Provides direct and indirect surgical patient care using comprehensive assessment, care planning, and patient education,
• Scrub and circulate role across multiple surgical specialties including Cardiac, Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, with variable start times (0700, 0900, 1100, 1300),
• Rotating weekends required,
• Overtime support may be needed,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required,
• BLS certification (AHA) required,
• CNOR certification preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required,
• Scrub and circulate experience required,
• Experience with Cardiac, Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology procedures required,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Community hospital experience preferred,
• Any charting system experience accepted,
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required,

• Delivers holistic, individualized nursing care to surgical patients and their families,
• Coordinates an interdisciplinary plan of care addressing psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors,
• Maintains collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers,
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to be considered for the local rate,
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a travelers,
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract,
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day,
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing,
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates,
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
