As a Staff Product Designer, you'll be one of the most senior individual contributors on the design team and the design lead for a cluster of our most complex, highest-stakes domains-financial workflows (inventory & procurement, AP & payments, Financial OS), AI, and mobile. Reporting to the Head of Design, you'll own design quality across these areas: doing hands‑on, end‑to‑end work on the hardest problems yourself, while setting the bar and giving direction to the other designers working in your domains. Think of it as how our strongest leads operate- deep in the work every day, leveling up everyone around them, no formal management required. You'll move fluidly to wherever the most critical work is within your domains- spiking on a redesign one month, a new set of agents the next—always accountable for how the whole cluster comes together. This role is perfect for someone energized by ambiguous, high‑complexity problems who moves fast and wants outsized impact at a well‑funded, fast‑moving company. What You'll Do Own design quality across your domain cluster-financial workflows, AI, and mobile-taking the hardest problems from ambiguity to engineering‑ready solution yourself, and ensuring the rest of the work in those areas meets a high bar Give direction and mentorship to the designers working in your domains, leveling up both the work and the people without acting as their formal manager Design experiences for our AI and agentic capabilities, turning complex system behavior into flows that feel intuitive and trustworthy Simplify deeply complex enterprise workflows-including ERP integrations and financial operations-taking dense, data‑rich problems into clarity for our users Help reshape our mobile app into an experience our field users love, partnering across product and engineering Set the standard for design craft and AI‑native ways of working, and bring that bar to design reviews through your own work and sharp, constructive feedback Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and QA to understand constraints, pressure‑test ideas, and ship quickly What We Look For 8+ years of product design experience, with a proven track record of shipping complex products from concept to launch. We care more about staff‑level impact than years on a résumé we're looking for someone clearly maxing out at their current level and ready for the leap Demonstrated ability to elevate the work and the people around you-mentoring and leading without formal management authority Deep experience designing complex, data‑rich enterprise or vertical SaaS workflows; financial products, payments, or ERP experience strongly preferred Experience designing AI‑powered or agentic experiences, preferred Genuinely AI-native in how you work: fluent with AI across synthesis, ideation, prototyping (e.g., Figma Make, Claude Design), and frontend code (e.g., Claude Code). We'll want you to walk us through how you've reinvented your own workflow with AI Expert proficiency in Figma and a strong command of UX/UI principles, user research, usability testing, and data‑driven decision‑making Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders The interpersonal range to lead through influence-raising the bar for the teammates in your domains in a way that makes them better and leaves them bought in Ability to travel up to six times per year for team meetings and customer visits Familiarity with the commercial trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and/or construction, preferred but not required Who You Are A senior craftsperson hungry to make a bigger impact-not coasting on tenure Someone who respectfully challenges the status quo and shows the team a better path Comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous projects and moving between problem areas without losing the thread A generous, low-ego teammate genuinely invested in the growth of the designers around you Relentlessly committed to craft and to creating exceptional user experiences Someone who cares deeply about doing excellent work that helps make people's lives better Compensation Compensation [$170,000.00 to $210,000.00] base salary + annual bonus opportunity (SF hub) [185,000.00 to 195,000.00 CAD] base salary + annual bonus opportunity (Toronto hub) What we offer Generous equity grant, become an owner in our company!
